Bios

Barbara Bratsch, Co-Founder and CEO
Barbara has worked as an online instructor at local community colleges for over six years and continues to serve in the capacity of an adjunct faculty member. She earned an Online Learning Designer Certificate from Colorado Technical University in 2004 and continues to enhance her own knowledge through online learning. Barbara serves as an ongoing mentor for other online instructors at San Juan College in New Mexico and Pueblo Community College in Colorado. Barbara has created online course content in the areas of psychology, sociology, and personal growth and development since 2001. She previously worked as a private therapist in both New York and Colorado and currently works as a divorce mediator in the local Court system. She holds a Masters degree in Dance Movement and Kinesiology from SUNY Brockport and a Masters in Counseling and Education from the University of Rochester, both in upstate New York. Barbara also serves as a Board member for the Durango Discovery Museum under development and is assisting with educational exhibits.

Marty Hill, Co-Founder and President
Marty has been involved in online learning since the mid-1990s. She holds a Masters degree in Curriculum and Instruction from New Mexico State University, with a specialization in Educational Technology. A published author in the field, Marty has held the position of Coordinator of Online Learning at San Juan College in Farmington, New Mexico since 1997. She has served as part-time and adjunct faculty in both traditional and online programs for over 10 years. The University of Texas presented her with a NISOD Teaching Excellence Award in 2004. Marty is a sought after presenter and trainer, conducting sessions at many national and international conferences and associations including: National Institute for Staff and Organizational Development (NISOD), the League for Innovation in the Community College, Texas Distance Learning Association, Colorado Tele-Coop, New Mexico Association of Community Colleges (NMACC), NM CHECS, and Western Cooperative for Educational Telecommunications (WCET). She earned her “Certified Online Instructor” designation from Colorado Technical University, and is a WebCT Certified Senior Trainer. Marty has had experience in both online course development and instructional design. She has created course content in the areas of life science, health information technology, office technology, graphic arts, history, psychology, computer applications, and English. Marty was selected as a Lifetime member of Who’s Who Registry of Executives and Professionals, and a 2004-2005 member of the Who’s Who Registry of Teaching Professionals.
